Inspired

You may ask after the rather mixed emotions expressed in our previous ‘we have snow but…’ posts of earlier today, why now would I feel inspired?

Driving in to the Lodge from the north, I passed the crossing of the Peak Trail. There firmly lined in the snow was a set of tracks made by I know not whom…some adventurer who made their way on the trails over to the peak.

It was a flash back moment to when we first opened 40+ years ago when there was no such thing as set track, let alone wide skate lanes.

Two tracks off into nature and the somewhat unknown. Somehow today it struck me…this is skiing!

We try to make to easy, user friendly, but it is the experience of being out in the woods on the snow, one step and then another, that is why people love skiing so much.

The lodge woods are deep and white, inviting, worth the trip.

We will work tomorrow again to do what we can where we can. But moreover, you can make it what you want to…skiing.
